Grassroots gets bi-partisan on bankruptcy bill
It's not very often that the grassroots on the right and the left find real common ground. But the stinker that is the bankruptcy bill (screwing individual consumers and creating windfalls for banks and credit card companies)has given rise to a netroots effort that's springing up on all parts of the political spectrum.
The states most hurt by this law are bleeding red:
1 Utah
2 Tennessee
3 Georgia
4 Nevada
5 Indiana
6 Alabama
7 Arkansas
8 Ohio
9 Mississippi
10 Idaho
But it has potential to do damage to citizens of all the states...including those who want nothing to do with being red.
Just how out of touch does Congress have to be to pass this bill?
When The Daily Kos Community,Atrios,Yglesias,Instapundit,FreeRepublic (gasp!),Centerfield and Tacitus are all on the same side against Congress....
Kev and I are very much against it as well.
I've already contacted Wu's office. Smith's is next.
Ron Wyden voted CORRECTLY, by the way.
