Oregonians give Arkansas the finger
Yesterday it was Texas.
Today it's Arkansas..via Walmart.
Walmart is filing paperwork to build a new store in the Cedar Mill area of unincorporated Beaverton, Oregon. The locals aren't having it. They've formed a group called Save Cedar Mill in an effort to fight the WalMart scourge.
I have an idea that might solve their problem. If they haven't already, why not get the local food or commercial workers unions involved?
Walmart refuses to allow it's stores to unionize. In fact,Walmart has closed stores that were close to unionizing. If the local union chapters work to make certain Walmart knows they'll be working to unionize it's employees from the start, it could go a long way to discouraging Walmart from building in the area.
