Why is Gordon Smith working to increase abortions?

Oregon's junior Senator Gordon Smith is working hard to ensure abortions are on the rise.

Smith has come out in opposition to The Putting Prevention First Act, submitted by anti-abortion Democratic Minority Leader Harry Reid.

The Putting Prevention First Act is an omnibus family planning bill. The bill would expand access to preventative health care services as well as education programs to reduce unwanted pregnancies, STD's and abortions.
