Breaking: Oregon Court voids gay marriage licenses

The Oregon Supreme Court has invalidated thousands of marriage licenses issued to gay couples last year in Multnomah County.

The court found that a county can question the Constitutionality of marriage laws. But since marriage laws are a statewide concern the county had no authority to issue the licenses to gay couples.

Oregon governor Ted Kulingoski is moving ahead with a push for a bipartisan civil unions bill in the Oregon legislature.
