Bronx Barbecue

Ladies and Gentlemen...your Slaughterhouse Five pick for a PK skewering:

We argue tirelessly every single day about how corrupt and radical leftist justices are in regard to decision making. The American people are fully aware of it. But the howling has become somewhat vapid and sleep-inducing. What I would like to know is why Congress, who has the constitutional right to restrict jurisdiction and eradicate courts, has been reluctant to take necessary actions against legislative, "rock star" judges?

Arguing tirelessly doesn't make one right. It just makes one tired. And in the case of BronxPundit..a few IQ points short of a full boat.

Which judges, specifically, is he talking about? Who the hell knows. Chances are BronxPundit doesn't even know. It's pretty obvious that he puts more thought into tying shoes than writing about judges.

As far as what the American people are "fully aware" of, could he be anymore clueless? The American people are having a big case of buyer's remorse with both Bush and the Republican Party. The vast majority of Americans are pissed off watching Bill Frist, Tom DeLay and the rest of the Republican Party swill join hands with the rightwing American Taliban to force Christianity into government. Maybe BronxPundit wants a theocracy. But the rest of us don't. Deal with it.

Where does Congress have the jurisdiction and authority to "eradicate courts"? Article One Section Eight of the United States Constitution specifically outlines the powers of Congress. Nowhere does the Constitution give the power to Congress for getting rid of courts. BronxPundit should stop wiping his ass with America's sacred founding documents and actually READ them.

If BronxPundit has a problem with the rulings of federal judges then he should be bitching about Reagan, Bush 41 and W. Or work to elect more Democrats as President. Of the 162 judges now sitting on the US Court of Appeals, 94 were chosen by Republican Presidents. 7 of the 9 US Supreme Court seats have been filled by GOP Presidents since 1976.

This would require thoughtfulness and logic from BronxPundit, naturally. There will be skiing in hell before that happens.

Incidentally, for those of you buying the line that filibustering judicial nominees is some spanky new thing that Republicans would just never do...wise up, for crying out loud.
