Slaughter House Five

Slaughterhouse Five

Alrighty... as usual the ball is now in your court. You pick 'em, we slay 'em.

The five nominees are... (drum roll)...

  • White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan for suggesting that he can chastise Newsweek because he knew something but can't comment on the Rycroft memo.

  • Glenn Reynolds for proffering the notion that somehow the Newsweek story is the press' Abu Ghraib.

  • Pentagon spokesman Larry DiRita for rejecting the Newsweek story because it's "unsubstantiated" then turning around and offering his own unsubstantiatedtheory that Muslim detainees are the ones desecrating the Koran.

  • Mike's America for uncritically regurgitating rightwing disinformation on the Newsweek story.

  • George "Dubya" Bush for citing a group that the State Department says is a terrorist group and Human Rights Watch says is a cult as a reliable source of intelligence on the alleged Iranian nuclear weapons program.

The one with the most votes wins... er... loses on Mondays.
