Culture of Conservative Government Rule: Patriot Act Style

Poor W. The House has voted to repeal parts of the Patriot Act.

In a legislative smackdown, 38 sane Republicans joined with 199 more sane Democrats to repeal the section of the Act that,"allows federal agents to examine people's book-reading habits at public libraries and bookstores as part of terrorism investigations."

In response to the repeal, Congressman Tom Feeney (R-Florida) proved his Conservative Government Rule cred with this beauty:

"If there are terrorists in libraries studying how to fly planes, how to put together biological weapons, how to put together chemical weapons, nuclear weapons, ... we have to have an avenue through the federal court system so that we can stop the attack before it occurs," said Rep. Tom Feeney, (R) of Florida.

And they call the left crazy?
