Let God sort it out

There's a large segment of American society that takes a lot of pleasure in the bullshit knuckle dragging "kill-them-all-and-let-God-sort-it-out" mentality. This ironically "pro-life" group is all too ready to run drool-faced and roughshod whether or not it solves anything.

This foray into war masturbation is splashed across the Wall Street Journal Editorial page in the form of a practically incoherent Shelby Steele.

With gusto, Steele strokes himself to the point of euphoric gibberish. Waxing fondly for the good old days of WW2, Steele ponders his perception that the US hasn't the backbone for wiping out the enemy with our military might. If only we could just drop the big bombs and end the lives of all those ter-wrists , Lady Liberty would stand tall again, like she did after Hiroshima and Nagaski.

Historical revisionism: conservative porn.

Steele continues to burnish his nob by complaining that we're feeling too guilty about our white skin to really drop the big ones in Iraq. If we could just get over our lack of melanin then it would be so much easier to wipe out the brown people.

The Bushosphere Bootlickers are hot on Steele's trail, too.

Fortunately, Glen Greenwald is way more patient with this bullshit than I am--and fisks it soundly.
