Preemptive Karma
I just got this via email and after reading it I just knew I had to post it here as a prime example of preemptive karma.
The team behind my latest film, Good Virus, has partnered with Flash Mob America, http://flashmobamerica.com/, the leading organizer of flash mobs in the world, to organize a Flash Mob for the film. What we have planned...
There's a fantastic banjo player who always plays at the center of the park at the
La Brea Tar Pits. He's been there for years and years. We would love to send him a
great big audience to listen to him and possible jam with him if they have
instruments.Who: You and others who dig kindness like you
When: Saturday May 15th at Noon
Where: La Brea Tar Pits (center of park) 5801 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA,
90036BRING: Bring whatever change you have in your pocket, your car, your couch and we’ll
toss it in his tip jar– one person will start and one after the other, you’ll walk
up and toss change in his tip jar (or maybe it’s his banjo case) Spend as much or as
little as you want, it’s more about the act than the amount and that’s entirely up
to YOU.As always, there will be a camera there to film the event.
RSVP: Please RSVP to info@goodvirus.org so we can get an idea of how many people are
coming.
You can check out GOOD VIRUS here: http://goodvirus.org/The MISSION... The purpose of Good Virus is: 1) To illustrate that - contrary to
what you may see, hear and read in the news - kindness is all around us (THE GOOD).
And 2) To inspire people to spread kindness (THE VIRUS). Good Virus is all about the
small things, tiny acts of kindness that don't cost a lot of money nor oblige
praise. The essential premise of this project is that many small acts of kindness
may make more of a difference than a few big ones.
For those of you who live in LA, I hope we see you on Saturday!!!-gaz
I wish I lived close enough to participate! Well... maybe not LIVE close enough 'cause there's not much about Southern California these days that appeals to me. Too much smog and way too many people! But I do wish I could afford to fly or drive down to participate.
